Working Principle

The plasma cutting filter cartridge dust collector is an efficient dry purification device specially designed for plasma cutting of high-temperature and high-concentration metal smoke. Its core components are negative pressure capture + filter cartridge filtration + pulse cleaning, ensuring stable and compliant emissions.

Complete Process Operation
  • Dust Capture (Negative Pressure Suction): The fan creates negative pressure inside the dust collector. Through the suction hood, air duct, or mobile suction trolley under the cutting table, high-temperature metal smoke containing iron oxide, manganese, zinc, etc., is quickly sucked into the equipment. Large particles of dust fall directly into the ash bin or dust collection drawer due to gravity, achieving preliminary separation.
  • Filter Cartridge Filtration (Core Purification): Dusty airflow enters the middle box and passes through pleated filter cartridges made of polyester coated or PTFE material with temperature resistance of ≤ 120°C. Fine dust is intercepted by the filter cartridge surface, and clean air passes through the filter cartridge into the upper box, then is discharged into the atmosphere through the fan. Filter efficiency reaches 99.9%+ for dust particles larger than 0.3 μm, with emission concentration ≤ 5 mg/m³.
  • Pulse Cleaning (Automatic Regeneration): As dust accumulates, filter cartridge resistance increases. When pressure difference reaches 1400-1600 Pa (or at set time), the control system triggers the pulse valve. Compressed air (0.4-0.6 MPa) is sprayed into the filter cartridge instantly, causing violent shaking that dislodges dust into the ash bin. After cleaning, pressure difference returns to normal for continued efficient operation.
  • Dust Collection and Discharge: Dust in the ash bin is discharged through a screw conveyor, ash discharge valve, or directly cleaned from the dust collection drawer.
